Paul McGinley and Ian Woosnam will bring Ryder Cup pedigree to the Senior Open Hauts de France by Jean van de Velde from June 7-9.

New for 2019, the tournament will be hosted by French legend Jean van de Velde at the stunning Arras Golf Resort in Northern France, with a 200,000 prize fund on offer.

Leading a star-studded field in France will be 2006 Ryder Cup Captain Woosnam and 2014 Captain McGinley, two of the biggest names in over-50s golf.

Woosnam led Team Europe to victory at The K Club 13 years ago when Englishman Luke Donald sunk the winning putt in an emphatic 18 ½ - 9 ½ victory in Ireland.

McGinley, who earned one point for Woosnam’s side in the 2006 contest, was handed the reins of Team Europe for the 2014 contest at Gleneagles, Scotland, and he also led his team to victory.

The Irishman’s win as Captain came 12 years after he holed the winning putt on his Ryder Cup debut at The Belfry, England, as he earned half a point against Jim Furyk.

Phillip Price, who defeated Phil Mickelson 3&2 in The 2002 Ryder Cup, will also be teeing it up at Arras Golf Resort, as will 2012 Ryder Cup winner Paul Lawrie in addition to nine more former Ryder Cup players, including host van de Velde.
